Islas de Sol y Sombra (work samples)

The images presented here are drawn from Islas de Sol y Sombra, an ongoing photographic project that I am developing as a book. In this sample, each photograph is accompanied by a fragment of handwritten text drawn from a larger body of prose and reflective writing.

These texts are not captions but early examples of how language may move alongside the photographs in the final publication. The book will likely develop a more expansive relationship between image and writing, and the precise form is still evolving. The work shown here is intended to give a sense of that direction as the project continues to take shape.
